Yoga Classes
Gentle, Grounded Yoga (10-Week Term)
Term One - Thursday Feb 5- Thursday April 9.
This is a nurturing, empowering yoga class for people who want to move their bodies with care, awareness, and respect — without pushing, striving, or adrenaline.
Classes focus on gentle, grounded movement designed to support flexibility and strength while honouring your nervous system. This is not fast or aggressive yoga. There are no complicated positions, no pressure to perform, and no expectation to push beyond your limits.
Over the course of the term, we work consistently with the same group, allowing the practice to deepen naturally. You’ll learn to listen to your body, recognise your own edges, and build strength and mobility in a way that feels supportive rather than exhausting.
This class is especially suited to people who:
Want a gentler approach to yoga
Are returning to movement after stress, injury, or burnout
Prefer a calm, grounded environment over high-intensity classes
Value consistency, community, and self-respect in their practice
Gentle background music is used to create a supportive atmosphere, helping you settle into the practice and stay present with your body.
After 10 weeks, students will feel more connected to their bodies, more at ease in themselves, and better able to honour their limits while still growing in strength and flexibility.
Classes are offered by the term to support continuity, safety, and community. You can choose to do Yoga on its own, or attend both Yoga and Meditation classes together.
Yoga starts at 6:30pm and Meditation starts at 7:30pm and is held through the duration of school term at the Elmoos Centre on Jacobs Drive Sussex Inlet. Bookings are essential.
