A Note from Michelle

As with most of the things I create, I created something I needed myself that I’d not been able to find. I’d been to retreats that were all wellness and no creativity, or songwriting specific, or focussed on recovery and while they’ve all been amazing, I really wanted something that combined rest, recovery and creativity.

I created this retreat for people like me — people who feel deeply, care deeply, and often pour so much into others that we forget ourselves along the way. I wanted a unique blend of the creative practices I’ve used in my own life to understand myself better, along with utilising my unique blend of experience in health science, meditation, yoga and music to create a holistic weekend that blends learning, movement, creativity, connection and rest.

This is a space where you can soften, unravel, breathe, reconnect, and rise.

I can’t wait to do this with you.

— Michelle

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who is this retreat for?

Anyone who knows their biggest obstacle is the way they treat themselves.

For years, I struggled with fear, self-doubt, addiction patterns, and talking to myself like the enemy. I had to learn — slowly, painfully — how to become my own ally.
This retreat is filled with the exact tools and practices I use to change my relationship with myself.

If you’re not currently a true friend to yourself, this retreat is for you.

What happens during the retreat?

We move gently between:

  • workshops

  • creative exercises

  • reflection

  • meditation

  • gentle yoga

  • rest

  • nature

  • music

You’ll have space between sessions to integrate what you’re learning through journalling, art, songwriting or quiet time.

Refunds

Retreat tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to a friend. You may also donate to someone who may not be able to afford a retreat like this.

Do I need to be good at a particular practice or thing to attend?

No. There are no pre-requisites. All activities during the retreat are optional as well. The yoga is slow and gentle and suitable for all. The creative practices are all simple, explained, and you have the choice to go as deep as you want with any practice - or take the premise behind a practice into your own favourite practice.

Why Michelle?

I’ve spent over a decade studying personal development, meditation and wellness. I’ve previously worked as a mentor and a holistic life coach.
I hold a Diploma of Health Science, I’m a fully qualified meditation teacher and yoga instructor. I’ve walked through over twenty years of active recovery.

My music and my story have supported thousands of people — and this retreat is where all the pieces come together: creativity, wellness, compassion, connection and courage.

Is this a therapy retreat?

No.
This is a Creative Wellness Retreat.
It does not replace therapy, clinical support, or mental health treatment.
It complements your healing by helping you build kinder, stronger, more aligned habits and practices.

Will there be alcohol?

No — this is an alcohol and drug-free retreat.

Self-love sounds so ‘icky’. I get it, but I still struggle. Why?

This is a huge concept we will cover at the retreat and if self-love is something you still struggle with, even just a little, you’re in the right place. I used to be weird about the whole idea of self-love. I was taught that self-love or putting myself or my needs first was selfish and conceited. I now believe right through to my bones that that was just another way that old belief systems and conditioning held me back and stopped me from taking steps towards actually forging a healthy relationship with myself. Self-love isn’t a warm and fuzzy feeling, it’s a verb. It’s a choice. It’s what you DO. Your relationship with yourself is the one relationship you have that you have full control over and developing a healthy relationship with yourself is transformative. Not only can it help you to forge better relationships with others, improve your mental and physical health but it can also help you to know and understand what you want and need as well as what you don’t want. When you’re clear on those things you can stop wasting your time on people, places and things that bring you down.

When will the next retreat be?

Our next retreat is scheduled for the weekend of October 30 - November 1, 2026. Following that, Autumn 2027.
